From booking to your plan
New-patient forms
You will fill in the Information and Insurance Intake Form at the office. Want it ahead of time? Ask when you call: 503.232.7609.
- 1
Book
Call 503.232.7609, or 503.702.4200 for a same-day visit. You can also request an appointment online and the office will call you back.
- 2
Fill in the intake form
Every new patient completes the Information and Insurance Intake Form before seeing the doctor.
- 3
Bring
Your insurance card, a payment method (payment is due at the visit), and a list of the medicines and over-the-counter remedies you take or have tried.
- 4
Talk, then a short exam
A brief conversation about your history, then a gentle exam lying on your left side (Sims position), with a numbing gel. The look inside takes a few seconds. What the exam involves.
- 5
Your plan
Dr. Cranford steps out while you dress, then talks over what he found and what he recommends. If it is hemorrhoids, a typical course of the Keesey technique is 6 to 10 short treatments, which can be on consecutive days.
Common questions
How long is the first visit?
Ask the office when you book. The exam itself is short: the look inside takes just a few seconds.
Can I be treated on my first visit?
Ask when you book. Treatment depends on what the exam finds.
Is the exam embarrassing?
Almost everyone worries about it. Dr. Cranford explains each step, uses a numbing gel, and leaves the room while you dress.
